All roads lead to… the Season 38 patch!
This time around, we’ll be wrapping up the takeover and releasing the final member of the Shogunate team. As you must have already seen in other posts, Lunar Daffy will finally be arriving this season to celebrate the Year of the Snake alongside reworks to Lunar Dragonhorn, Lunar Bugs, and Lunar Lola.
In other news, we’ll be introducing a new Wildcard toon who’ll be representing the colorful Indian festival of Holi. Speaking of festivals, we’ll be moving two other holiday toons to the Wildcards, namely Bunny O’Hare and Calavera Speedy, who’ll both be receiving minor updates that will make them more rounded in combat.

The Good, the Bad and the Hillbilly
This season, the Hillbillies are coming to kick up a ruckus in the World of Mayhem. Joining this new team are Hillbilly Hare (who’ll be receiving his fair share of updates) and three new characters who’ll be making their very first appearance in the game! Without giving too much away, the Hillbillies will be centered around the new Damage Multiplier status effects. They will grant buffs and inflict debuffs, only to remove them in exchange for stronger buffs and debuffs. Here’s a sneak peek into their theme passive:
Reworks
This season includes a handful of reworks to existing toons, all done to keep the game balanced and the characters up to date. You can find the reworks down below. As always, they might not be the final version and are subject to change.
Lunar
Lunar Dragonhorn
Lunar Dragonhorn will now deal increased damage and he’ll have a heavier hand on the critical end of things. Instead of granting teamwide Piercing, he will grant Critical Chance Up and Critical Damage Up while also providing all Lunar teammates with immunity against Critical Defense Down. His Ascension will now focus on ensuring critical hits and weakening enemy defenses rather than boosting his own attack. In addition to reduced Crit Chance, enemies with Draconic Wrath will also lose Sure Critical and gain 100% Resistance to it. Further adjustments will improve his defensive presence on the battlefield, including a newly adjusted Taunt passive and a new Alliance Wars passive that grants Sure Critical to the rest of the team.

Lunar Bugs
In order to cement his relationship with Lunar members, we’ve made minor changes to one of Lunar Bug’s skills. In addition to having increased stats, he will now gain Dodge Chance Up at the start of battle and each turn, and he will extend that buff to all Lunar teammates in particular.

Bunny O’Hare
With these minor changes, the buffs granted by Bunny O’ Hare will be more universally beneficial and no longer tied to the Holiday team synergy. He will now gain turn meter which will scale based on his entire team’s buffs, and while his AOE attack remains potent, we have added a clear cap to ensure a more balanced output. Lastly, his resistance to Flip, Steal, and Scramble will remain intact, but his passive will now grant Special Stat Ups, which will enhance his strategic value in battle.

Calavera Speedy’s abilities have undergone a few minor changes to reflect his now generalist nature. He will have a higher chance to dodge his enemies and revive a random ally to 100% of their Max Health. Instead of inflicting Remorse for an undefined period, it will now be active for a fixed duration of 2 turns whenever an ally is defeated, and his Speed debuff on enemies with Remorse has been reduced from –20% to a flat –10%.
