As their investigation is still ongoing, the Detectives will have to face an even larger threat. In season 25, we introduced the first team majorly reworked due to the Damage Over Time changes, and we plan to continue the changes in this season, updating the Scoundrels to cause even more trouble for the incredible Dorlock Holmes to contend with. 

As we are reworking the 5 toons that are the main cast for the Scoundrels on the team, we don’t plan to leave any toon behind, as OG Nasty Canasta and, in the future, Witch Lezah and Mr. Sam, will be moved to other themes that are more fitting to them

While the Scoundrels cause mayhem on the land and the Villains forward their devious plot in the skies, a new intergalactic threat will make itself known. The transmission we received mentions something about “finally put these earthlings in their place”, as for a second time, Marvin organizes an invasion, this time at its helm, as the Martian Empire makes its way to the World of Mayhem.

We can only hope that Bugs and his pals are prepared! 

The Martian Empire

The Martian Empire arrives in force, as an organized unit backed by advanced Martian technology. Bringing some very classic references, this is an offensive team based around its strong attackers that are fully enabled by their Defender and Support, and should be capable of overwhelming unprepared defenses.

Balance Changes

In this season, we’re not doing major balance changes (with one exception). Since the Damage Over Time rework left a few toons worse for wear, we’ll be briefly visiting a few of them, as well as some recent releases like Lunar Dragonhorn and, with more changes, Shapeshifter Melissa.

We still have changes planned for the Bullfighters to make up for their loss in power due to these changes, but as these are larger in scope, we’re planning them for future seasons.

More importantly, we are readjusting Damage Over Time so that it now properly deals damage through the Damage Immunity status effect so that it matches other effects that deal damage based on a percentage of the enemies maximum HP. This change should become available on a new game version – so please stay on the lookout for updates.

Reworks

As the Scoundrels have been the larger target of these reworks, we saw fit to move some of the members of the theme that weren’t used to new homes. The first one to depart will be OG Nasty Canasta, who’ll make his way to the other troublemakers – the Outlaws.

Scoundrels

For their rework, we have still left them an entirely Damage Over Time focused team, with an emphasis in stacking high amounts of the debuff on enemies to trigger powerful chaining passives. As such, they should feel very familiar to their pre-rework form, albeit a bit slower, but much more resilient.

We are moving some of the power of Ronin Canasta’s “Hungry Blade” to a new Theme Passive, as you can see below:
