Here ye, here ye! Gauntlet welcomes all who seek glory! The banners are raised, do you have what it takes?
Hey loonerinos. As Gauntlet is launching today, we wanted to give you all a detailed overview of what to expect. Explore our handy guide to learn the ways of this noble contest and prepare yourself for the trials that lie ahead. Let’s go!
What is Gauntlet?
Gauntlet is a permanent PvE mode where you fight your way through battles that grow more challenging and rewarding with each victory. It unlocks at player Level 20 and resets daily.
You are free to use any toon from your roster to play Gauntlet and you’ll have the power to choose your opponents, your challenges, and at times, even your rewards! Isn’t that lovely?
Getting Started – The Basics
Choosing your team and your opponents

Each Gauntlet battle requires 4 toons to play and you can pick any toon from your roster. Once you’ve selected your team, the game will present three suitable opponent teams for you to choose from and battle against. The power of these opponents will depend on the power of your chosen team. Facing tougher opponents will give you more points towards milestones and leaderboards.
Mayhem Multiplier

The Mayhem Multiplier determines the difficulty of Gauntlet battles. The heat rises with each victory and goes down with each loss. As the Mayhem Multiplier rises, battles get tougher, but they also offer bigger payoffs by letting you progress faster through milestones and leaderboards.
Challenge Modifiers

When the Mayhem Multiplier reaches a new tier, you will be asked to choose a Challenge Modifier. Challenge Modifiers add an extra layer of difficulty to your Gauntlet battles, and can buff opponents, debuff your team, or affect both.

Once you’ve selected a Challenge Modifier, it will remain active for the tier that you are currently on. When you enter the next tier, you’ll need to choose a new modifier and if you return to a tier you’ve already reached, the modifier you had initially selected for that tier will get reactivated.
Victory Crate
![]() | Each victory in Gauntlet fills your Victory Crate. Once it’s full, you can open it and choose one of three rewards. If you don’t like the rewards presented, you can also pay gems for a fresh set to choose from. There is no limit to the number of Victory Crates you can earn. Once a Victory Crate is full, you start advancing to the next one. |

Gauntlet Currencies
![]() | Gauntlet Ticket → A toon can battle for free until they achieve their first victory. After that, they’ll need Gauntlet Tickets to battle again, with each victory further raising the cost. You can claim free Gauntlet Tickets in the Store and also earn them by completing milestones, opening Victory Crates, and ranking on leaderboards. |
![]() | Medallion → Exchange this shiny Medallion in the Gauntlet Store for Gizmo Parts and other rewards. Win battles to earn Medallions or obtain them through milestones, leaderboards, and Victory Crates. You can also purchase the Gauntlet Pass to get them. |
![]() | Arrow of Mayhem → Collect Arrows of Mayhem by winning battles and completing milestones. These help you progress and rank on the Gauntlet leaderboards. |
Daily Reset
Gauntlet resets daily, giving you a fresh start to try new teams, switch up your strategies, and keep things from feeling repetitive. The following aspects of the mode reset daily:
- Mayhem Multiplier
- Challenge Modifiers
- Gauntlet Ticket costs for each toon
Promoted Toons

Each Gauntlet event will feature a list of Promoted Toons. These toons will be allowed to win a particular number of times before they’ll need Gauntlet Tickets to play. Using Promoted Toons will help you save Gauntlet Tickets so you can last longer as you advance through the battles for the day.
Handy Tip: The more toons you have, the more battles you can play for free. Use your roster to the fullest if you want to save up on Gauntlet Tickets.
Gauntlet Leaderboards

Gauntlet will feature both a Solo leaderboard and an Alliance leaderboard. As you win battles and collect Arrows of Mayhem, you’ll make progress and rank on these leaderboards.
For Alliance Leaderboards: To earn points and rewards from Alliance leaderboards and milestones, you’ll need to be a part of an active Alliance before the event begins. If you join an Alliance after an event begins, you won’t get any rewards. If you switch Alliances during an event, you won’t be able to make any further progress for the rest of the event.

Coming Soon: Simulated Battles
As Gauntlet continues to evolve, we’ll be pushing towards a Simulated Battle option designed to save you time. This option will allow you to switch between Simulation and Manual play so you can skip the grind and spend more time progressing. Sim is currently in development and is planned for a future update.
That’s all for this guide, folks! You have everything you need to conquer Gauntlet, so step forth into these grounds and prove your worth.
