Hey Toonsters,
Things are about to get a little more… explosive in World of Mayhem.
We are bringing you Gauntlet, a brand-new permanent PvE mode, and Gizmos, a powerful new progression system that changes how your toons grow and battle. On top of that, we have some long-awaited quality-of-life upgrades and Scopely’s 15th Anniversary celebration happening alongside it.
These are some of the biggest gameplay additions we have made in years, and they are all built around one simple idea:
Your roster matters more than ever.
Let’s get into it.
Gauntlet: A New PvE Challenge

Gauntlet is a new permanent PvE mode where your entire roster finally gets its moment in the spotlight.
You will assemble teams of four toons and fight through a series of battles that become more challenging as you win. Every victory increases the challenge and unlocks better rewards.
This mode was built with your feedback in mind. Many of you have asked for more ways to use all the toons you have invested in over the years. Gauntlet is designed to make that depth matter.
More Teams, More Possibilities
In Gauntlet, each toon you have can be used free at least once each day! Repeated uses of the same toons within the day will have a small cost of Gauntlet Tickets, which can be acquired through various sources including Gauntlet itself.
This system encourages you to mix things up. Try different team combinations. Revisit older favorites. Explore synergies you may not have needed before.
If you have built a wide roster, Gauntlet rewards that flexibility.
Always Available
Gauntlet is permanent. It is not a limited-time event.
You can jump in whenever you want and play as much as you like.
Each day:
- Entry costs reset
- The difficulty scaling resets
- Modifiers reset
You start fresh every day, ready to try new teams and new approaches.
Battles That Change As You Play
As you win battles, the challenge level increases. At certain thresholds, you will encounter different battle modifiers that affect how fights play out. Some may strengthen enemy teams. Others may alter the flow of battle in different ways.
The further you go in a session, the more important smart team-building becomes.
Rewards That Matter
Gauntlet offers several new reward types:
- Gauntlet Points – Used to progress through milestones and compete on Solo and Alliance leaderboards.
- Gauntlet Currency – Earned from battles and used in the Gauntlet Store to exchange for rewards, including Gizmo Parts.
- Gauntlet Tickets – Used to pay the entry cost when reusing toons that have already won battles.
- Toon Pieces
- Gizmo Parts
As you win battles, you will also unlock Victory Crates, where you can choose one reward from multiple options.
Whether you are pushing for leaderboard positions or building up resources, there is plenty to earn.
Gizmos: A New Way to Grow Your Toons

Gizmos are a new craftable progression system that grants unique abilities. Gizmos add strategic depth and long-term collection goals.
Gizmos allow toons to unlock additional skill options that influence how they perform in battle.
That means:
- New ways to build your favorite characters
- Fresh team combinations to experiment with
- More meaningful upgrade decisions
Gizmo Parts come in multiple tiers and are primarily earned through Gauntlet rewards, milestones, leaderboards, and the Gauntlet Store.
Designed for Long-Term Progression
Gauntlet is the primary way to obtain Gizmo Parts.
As you play Gauntlet regularly, you will collect the materials needed to craft and upgrade Gizmos, strengthening your toons over time.
This creates steady, long-term progression that rewards consistent play.
Quality of Life: Less Tapping, More Mayhem
We are also making powering up your roster much smoother.
Bulk Tune-Up
You can now Tune-Up multiple levels at once. Fewer taps. Faster upgrades.
Bulk Rank-Up
Have enough pieces for multiple star levels? Rank them up in one go and get back to the action.
Simple changes, but your thumbs will thank you.
Scopely’s 15th Anniversary Giveaway Calendar
Scopely is turning 15, and we are celebrating in style.
Starting March 9th, a special 15-Day Anniversary Giveaway Calendar goes live.
Log in every day for 15 days to claim rewards. By the end of the calendar, you will unlock all toons from the Martian Empire theme.
Yes. The entire Martian Empire.
Marvin would approve.
What’s Next?
Gauntlet introduces a permanent PvE mode built around roster depth and daily progression.
Gizmos introduce a new layer of growth for your toons.
Together, they mark a major step forward for World of Mayhem.
We will share exact launch dates and more details very soon.
Until then, keep experimenting, keep building, and keep embracing the mayhem.
See you in Gauntlet.
