Overall Structure
Play through the Yee-Haw! Campaign to collect Monster Truck Yosemite’s Character Pieces and event tokens. Exchange Jumbo Tires in the Events store to unlock Monster Truck Yosemite, then spin the Bull Horn Wheel to get more pieces and collect Seasonal Cosmic Star Tokens from the Cosmic Challenge Quests and Campaigns.
Daily Campaigns and Quests reward you with bonus Featured Toon Character Pieces and Event Energy to strengthen the featured toons and farm additional Monster Truck Yosemite Character Pieces.
Event Changes
Various pieces of and tokens for Monster Truck Yosemite have been redistributed. The “Putting on a Show” campaign now requires 3-star victories. The Monster Truck Yosemite rank requirements in Chapter 2, Act 1 have been decreased. Win limits now ramp up over the course of an act, and cost fewer gems to refresh for the first 3 daily refreshes, but gem costs will increase the more times you refresh a stage (resetting each day)
The tournament size has been reduced in a manner similar to Nutcracker Taz, and the Bull Horn Wheel’s wedges have been rearranged to reduce the odds of an “almost Jackpot” visual. The wheel rewards are all the same; they’re just placed on different spots on the wheel now.
Overall, we wanted to address the feeling present in previous versions of this format where players would very quickly obtain some pieces of the new toon, but then immediately hit a brick wall where farming more was extremely difficult. This was mostly accomplished by reducing first-time rewards slightly and making the battles more involved to clear, but greatly increasing both the efficiency of gemming the most difficult stages in an act, and the odds of receiving the valuable Bull Horn items. In the early stages of “Putting on a Show”, the repeat win drop rate has been increased by 1.5x or more. In later stages, the odds of receiving at least one horn are over 2x higher than in Pitcher’s event. They’re still quite rare, but they should be much less rare now! These changes should make for a clearer progression from using both “Yee-Haw!” and the Daily Campaign to unlock the toon, into “Putting on a Show” to rank him up. We will continue to fine-tune this approach, and depending on player feedback, we may also take similar steps for some other formats.
