In season 19, we’re continuing the Vintage toons as well as, alongside a rework, introducing the Baseball Team! In the coming seasons, we also want to keep a more watchful eye on dominant teams and toons as to release balance changes to diversify the competitive experience, to be further explained in the following topics!
The Baseball Team
We’re introducing the new Baseball Team, which will expand on the Athlete theme tag, with 3 new toons (2 Epics, 1 Legendary) and an update to an oldie but a goodie – Baseball Bugs – to complete the team!
This new team is an expansion of what some of the already existing Athletes (Baseball Bugs included) already thrive on, and will be based around its members making big plays in the field through the use of Critical Hits, which compound to their special mechanic of 3 Strikes, favoring some offensive gameplay to leverage the fact that well, 3 Strikes and they’re out!
With this season, some balance changes are coming to toons old and new. These will be rolled out gradually as we want to give time for the dust to settle to make sure any changes that come afterwards are healthy for the game.
Further expanding on this topic, our aim is to open space for more teams to compete, as there are a few toons and/or themes that have been remarkably dominant for a long time and due to their power, have created a competitive experience that’s more stale and deterministic then we envision.
This also allows us to further develop toons that use some mechanics that current top teams use in such a power level that they outshine any new toon and rework that would be their mechanical peer. With all of these, hopefully, we can see more variety in teams used and creative compositions by you, the players!
These are the changes that are coming first:
Star-Pharaoh Daffy has been a mainstay in competitive game modes both as a member of the team he leads (Daffy All-Star) and in mixed compositions. Due to Nullkinesis easily triggering and it interacting with gadgets, we’re changing the skill to better fit the Daffy All-Stars team while reducing its overall power level and oppressiveness against any composition.
To make up for some of his loss in offensive power, we’re propping up Duck Decree a bit to compensate for the reduced number of flips Star-Pharaoh Daffy is expected to perform during of a battle
|Once per enemy per turn, unless Incapacitated, whenever an enemy has 4 or more of the same Stat Up or Special Stat Up, Flip them all and deal 6% Max Health Damage to them.
|Once per enemy per each of their own turns, unless Incapacitated, whenever an enemy has 5 or more of the same Stat Up or Special Stat Up, Flip them all and gain 7.5% turn meter.
|Flip 2 of each Special Stat Up on each enemy, then deal 90% damage to all enemies. This ability has +1% Piercing for each debuff on the enemy team.

As the team considers Assist a very powerful mechanic, it turns out we released Pianist Daffy in a bit of an undertuned state. While we’re very happy that the Carrotblanca reworks have been well received, we’d like to give the good Pianist some more oomph as to make him a more valuable part of the team he leads.
These adjustments are made for the Assist synergies between the Carrotblanca toons to have a more noticeable effect while avoiding directly buffing any one offensive skill
|Playing It Again
|Whenever a Carrotblanca ally attacks an enemy above 75% Max Health or below 25% Max Health during their turn, unless Incapacitated, this toon Assists for 50% damage.
|Whenever a Carrotblanca ally attacks an enemy above 50% Max Health during their turn, unless Incapacitated, this toon Assists for 50% damage. If that enemy is below 50% Max Health, grant your team 15% Turn Meter.
|Last One Standing
|While this toon remains in battle, whenever a team member Assists, they deal an additional 5% Max Health Damage to their target.

As we finished season 18 with the reworks of some members of the Fiends team, we’re also giving the rest of them a matching boost! Alongside a rework to Baseball Bugs, we’re also updating Monster Tweety, Yokai Taz, O’Pat and O’Mike.
While Baseball Bugs will be changing more substantially due to fitting a new team, we wanted to keep the Fiends identity while modernizing their skills and stats.
We plan to release these reworks throughout the season in pairs, starting with Baseball Bugs, Yokai Taz and O’Pat! The other’s will be updated throughout the season:
|Deal 110% damage to target enemy, granting Critical Chance Up to the ally with the highest Attack.
|Deal 100% damage to target enemy, granting Critical Chance Up to this toon and the ally with the highest Attack.
|Deal 150% damage to target enemy. If this is a critical hit, deal an extra 25% damage for each Bugs Bunny team member.
|Deal 145% damage to the target enemy. This attack has +25% Critical Damage for each Athlete team member. While in Alliance Wars, this attack is a guaranteed Critical Hit.
|While this toon is in battle, the enemy team has -100% Debuff Resistance.
|While this toon is in battle, team members have +25% Critical Damage and Athlete team members that lack Taunt gain 10% Turn Meter whenever they land a Critical Hit.
|Grant your team 3 Critical Chance Up and 3 Critical Damage Up for 2 turns, inflicting all enemies with 2 Critical Defense Down for 2 turns.
|Grant your team 3 Critical Chance Up and 2 Critical Damage Up for 2 turns, inflicting all enemies with 2 random Stat Down for 2 turns. Gain 15% Turn Meter.
|Whenever a team member lands a critical hit, inflict all enemies with 5 random Stat Down. If that team member was an Athlete, grant it Speed Up.
|Whenever a team member lands a Critical Hit, unless Incapacitated, inflict all enemies with a random Stat Down. If that team member is an Athlete, grant them Critical Damage Up for 2 turns.
|Gain Hidden, Scrambling 4 buffs on each enemy and then Stealing 2 non-Taunt buff from each.
|Gain Hidden, Scrambling 5 Stat Up or Special Stat Up on each enemy. Then steal 2 Stat Up or Special Stat Up from each.
|Whenever a team member lands a critical hit, gain 15% Turn Meter.

|Deal 135% damage to target enemy, Stealing 3 Stat Up or Special Stat Up and granting your team 2 Critical Damage Up for 3 turns. Gain Hidden
